Summary Before heading back their sophomore year at Starhurst School for Girls, Louise and Jean Dana are given a valuable study lamp by their Uncle Ned. The lamp is stolen from them and recovered from a secondhand shop even before they leave home. Once at school, the girls are delighted to find their old friend, Evelyn Starr, has returned. Unfortunately Evelyn is suffering from money troubles and may not be able to stay. The Dana girls find themselves trying to help her and discovering that the solution to her problems may be hidden in the antique lamp
