Summary An interview with Edith Roth, a Holocaust survivor, conducted by Dr. Sidney Bolkosky, Professor of History at the University of Michigan--Dearborn. Edith Roth was born in Uzghorod Czechoslovakia, which was annexed to Hungary in 1938. Following the German invasion in 1944, Edith and her family were placed in the ghetto in Uzghorod and then shipped to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where her mother and two of her siblings were killed. Separated from their father, Edith and two of her sisters were eventually sent to a forced labor camp in Bruntál, Czechoslovakia, where they were liberated.
